The environmental history is an innovative research field that studies the environmental change in relation to human activities. The spatial and temporal dimensions are interwoven so that we can study both the history and the environment. That is to say we can study changes in climate, vegetation, physical geography as well as the interrelationship between environment and human actions. This approach may be particularly useful for geo-ecological analyses because it considers the temporal dimension and allows to focus on issues of environmental impact. Interesting subject of study in this respect are the port cities on the Adriatic coasts. The current environmental problems are the result of events that have occurred over time and were determined by human choices. In this contribution we will use the methodologies of the environmental history to study the geo-ecological problems concerning some cities of the Adriatic.

Abstract
In this contribution we will use the methodologies of the environmental history to study the geo-ecological problems concerning some cities of the Adriatic.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
