Game Engine Platforms Supporting Metaverse-Linking Process: A Proposed Case Study on Virtual 3D Printing.

In the era of digital learning, the Metaverse is expected to be the frontier of the educational research, resulting in the increased popularity of related technologies and applications in recent years and gradually becoming the focus of 3D learning environments. Since the Metaverse, as a link between the real world and its virtual counterpart, can provide learnerswith immersive experiences,many researchers and instructional designers begin to focus on the educationalMetaverse or Edu-Metaverse. Therefore, this study is based on an “integrated-Metaverse” system, which combines a learning environment implemented in Unity3D Game Engine with a traditional Moodle-based Learning Management System.
