Abstract
The project idea of the recovery and the reutilization of Masseria Giordano in Roccanova in Basilicata was born in the wake of the “author’s cellars”, phenomenon born in Tuscany in the first half of the nineties, where we can see the spread of buildings of high architectural quality perfectly integrated with the landscape. Located near the Agri River, Masseria Giordano creates a renewed aesthetic relationship between production space and the worked product. The restoration project of the old fortified farm focused on the preservation of its historical function, with the aim of making these places catalysts for international attention. In addition, it aimed to optimize the integration of tourism with the local culture, as attested on the excellent quality of the soil and on the true vocation that guides winemakers Lucan in wine production. Also in this context, we have been used new technology that can be integrated as a whole, in order to achieve energyefficient buildings while preserving the image of the architecture of the tradition.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
