We present the results of the archaeological and analytical investigations on a glass bead from the fillings of a pit in the site of Fossano (Cuneo province) with dating between the end of the Final Bronze Age and the very beginning of the Iron Age (10th-9th cent. BCE). The bead has a classic annular shape and mixed alkali composition. We discuss similarities and differences with respect to other beads discovered in north-western Italy during this same phase.
