The conservation and restoration of abandoned structures of worship is a complex issue that must simultaneously deal with the safeguard of historical and cultural instances and with the need to "revive" the monument by returning to the cult or by means a new functional reuse compatible with the original utilization. In order to preserve the testimonies of lived, the static/architectural elements and the signs that are deposited on the materials, it’s necessary to perform a restoration project. This methodology has been adopted and tested in the restoration of two churches located in two different areas of the Italian territory and built with different materials and construction techniques: the church of St. Peter in Forenza (PZ) and the Church of St. Demetrius in Ceglie (BR).

Abstract
Demetrius in Ceglie (BR).I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
