This paper examines the relationship between poverty and educational deprivation within the broader context of inequality. By framing educational issues through the lens of inequality and exclusion, it highlights how educational challenges can be understood as social issues. From a multidimensional perspective, while living in poverty undeniably leads to a reduced quality of life, living in educational poverty has far reaching consequences that impact the cultural status of a population and society at large. After discussing some of the root causes of poverty, the article illustrates how addressing education is one of the most effective ways to mitigate these causes. Although it is well established that educational success is influenced by socio-demographic factors and various forms of poverty, it is equally critical to recognize education as a key dimension in breaking the cycle of poverty. The paper emphasizes the need for political, cultural, and social interventions, both at micro and macro levels, through the design and co-design of strategies aimed at addressing these challenges.

Abstract
The paper emphasizes the need for political, cultural, and social interventions, both at micro and macro levels, through the design and co-design of strategies aimed at addressing these challenges.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
