The paper aims to explore how urban planning can approach city development by focusing on the reuse of urban spaces and the process of rebuilding the city from within. In doing so, urban planning will face specific situations that must be addressed on a case-by-case basis, potentially defining distinct methods for constructing a circular urban development model. The paper analyzes a specific area of the city of Naples characterized by the presence of zones that are part of the historic urban center and more recent areas belonging to both consolidated and unconsolidated expansions. The area is examined in relation to transformation areas where significant changes in land use and urban form are either underway or planned.

Abstract
The paper aims to explore how urban planning can approach city development by focusing on the reuse of urban spaces and the process of rebuilding the city from within. In doing so, urban planning will face specific situations that must be addressed on a case-by-case basis, potentially defining distinct methods for constructing a circular urban development model. The paper analyzes a specific area of the city of Naples characterized by the presence of zones that are part of the historic urban center and more recent areas belonging to both consolidated and unconsolidated expansions. The area is examined in relation to transformation areas where significant changes in land use and urban form are either underway or planned.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
