Abstract
The Istituto di Credito per le Imprese di Pubblica Utilità was one of the so-called Beneduce’s authorities. The Icipu was born in 1924, and, from its origins, it had as its purpose the financial support for the electrification of the country. It represented an alternative to the dominant power of the fullservice banks, Comit and Credit, in terms of financing the electric companies, by encouraging private savings. Thus, the ICIPU was a true public electricity bank until the sector was nationalized in 1962.File in questo prodotto:
