This contribution examines the effects of Outdoor Education (OE) on social-emotional learning, highlighting how the natural environment, especially in school contexts, can influence the individual ability to manage and process emotions and promote a positive transformation of personal and social dynamics. Through an examination of the literature, it highlights how OE promotes the development of lasting socio-emotional skills, enriching the emotional repertoire and offering tools for conscious management of emotions, considering emotions as precious personal resources that can be effectively exploited in teaching to promote solid and lasting learning.
Il presente contributo esamina gli effetti dell'Outdoor Education (OE) sull’apprendimento socioemotivo, mettendo in luce come l'ambiente naturale, soprattutto nei contesti scolastici, possa influenzare la capacità individuale di gestire ed elaborare le emozioni e possa promuovere una trasformazione positiva delle dinamiche personali e sociali. Attraverso una disamina della letteratura, esso evidenzia come l’'OE favorisca lo sviluppo di competenze socio-emotive durature, arricchendo il repertorio emozionale e offrendo strumenti per una gestione consapevole delle emozioni, considerando le emozioni come risorse personali preziose che possono essere efficacemente sfruttate in ambito didattico per promuovere apprendimenti solidi e duraturi
