Business and management education must consider a constantly evolving, dynamic and unpredictable global economy. Therefore, Higher Education Institutions (HEIs), such as Business Schools (BSs), must train graduates as future leaders, equipping them with the skills needed to confront the complexity of the economy and the world. For this purpose, HEIs must adopt innovative approaches that support creativity, critical thinking, and adaptability. In this context, faculty development may play a crucial role because faculty efficiency and empowerment represent the basis for effective educational outcomes and indirectly affect student learning. The present study aims to map, through a scoping review, the teaching competences or ap- proaches and the faculty development initiatives undertaken by business instructors in HEIs. Most of the articles examined reported the teaching approaches adopted by instructors, and only very few of them reported faculty development initiatives.

Abstract
Most of the articles examined reported the teaching approaches adopted by instructors, and only very few of them reported faculty development initiatives.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
