Using the Extended Case Method, the study analyses the evolution of AI applications in public administration and their societal implications. The sociological reflection on AI emphasizes its transformative role in shaping social structures, considering both optimistic views on social rights enhancement and critical concerns such as privacy violations. The research advocates for a sociological understanding of AI as a non-human social actor, focusing on social practices and human-machine interactions. Additionally, the article introduces the concept of Public Policy Sociology for evaluating AI-related public policies, emphasizing transparency and citizen involvement.
