This contribution presents the Glossario delle Infrastrutture di Ricerca (GIR), an initia-tive born from the collaboration between researchers and technologists from the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences, Cultural Heritage (DSU) of the CNR as part of the PNRR H2IOSC (Humanities and Cultural Heritage Italian Open Science Cloud) project. The aim of the GIR is to define a unique, shared and unambiguous reference terminology for Research Infrastructures (IR) operating in the field of Humanities and Social Sciences. The study is divided into three sections. The first illustrates the methodology used to construct the reference corpus for the compilation of entries, the lexical model adopted and the first glossary of 100 entries. The second part offers a detailed linguistic analysis of the entries in the glossary, examining lexical and morphosyntactic aspects with a specific focus on the relationship between Italian and English. Finally, the last section explores the critical issues that emerged from the analysis of entries that present definitional complexities and translation problems.
